In 2016, Gokeiji Junmai Ginjo Hitachinishiki won the top award in its respective category at two world-renowned tasting competitions.

All of us were surprised to receive this award despite the fact that this was the first time we
had participated in only Junmai Ginjo category at the IWC. This Junmai Ginjo is our leading
product, and we started out with the idea of creating a delicious sake with “Hitachinishiki”, the only sake-brewing rice in Ibaraki Prefecture, and SYS, a yeast produced in Ibaraki. The sake we have chosen to enter the competition is the one that we are most proud to deliver to the customers.
Our goal is to make our brand “Gokeiji” known to people overseas, and we hope that “Gokeiji” will become a familiar sake for the occasions of celebration.
